Welcome to Glen Echo!

Since 1904, Glen Echo has been an incorporated town situated above the Potomac River in Maryland’s Montgomery County. People are often drawn to our town’s close knit, unique community. We are adjacent to Glen Echo Park, convenient to the walking and biking paths on the C&O canal and next to the historic Clara Barton House. Please explore our website as a visitor to the area or as a resident.
In memoriam of Nancy Long 1929-2025. The town fondly remembers our remarkable long-time resident, council member, environmentalist and Glen Echo Park advocate and leader, Nancy Long. Friends are invited to email memories and photos of Nancy to mayorcostello@glenecho.gov for inclusion on our memory page. You will also find the recording of her May 13th Celebration of Life.
